Srinagar, Jun 05: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday urged the administration to look into the matter of the consolidated and need-based employees from Jammu and Kashmir Industries Ltd, who were recently sacked from their jobs after years of service.
In a statement issued here, Bukhari said, “I have been informed that as many as 189 consolidated/need-based employees of Jammu and Kashmir Industries Ltd were disengaged on April 16, 2025, through verbal communication and by withdrawing their biometric attendance. Since then, these workers have been running from pillar to post, pleading for the restoration of their jobs. Nobody is paying heed. I urge the administration to look into this matter from a humanitarian angle. Where will they go now, after serving at JK Industries for years?”
Earlier, a delegation of these workers met Bukhari at the party headquarters in Srinagar. They apprised him of their issues.
According to a party press release, a group of disengaged workers from JK Industries Ltd met Altaf Bukhari on Thursday and apprised him of their issues. The delegation informed the Apni Party President that they have been disengaged from their jobs verbally and without any prior notice, it said.

During this time, we have gained substantial knowledge in various wings such as administration, accounts, production, sales, and technical fields. And now, we have been literally thrown onto the streets by being removed from our jobs.”
The Apni Party chief gave a patient hearing to the delegation members and assured them that he would raise their issue with the authorities at the highest level.
