Jammu, Fe 06: A NCC cadet from Budgam district of Kashmir, Azhar Ul Hussain, has created history by becoming the only NCC cadet from the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) who has been selected for ‘Overseas Ship Deployment’.
The defence ministry has extended congratulations to the Hussain for his selection for ‘Overseas Ship Deployment’,
Pertinent to mention here, a total of 11 NCC cadets have been selected for ‘Overseas Ship Deployment’ from all over India while Azhar Ul Hussain, is the only NCC cadet from UT selected for ‘Overseas Ship Deployment’.
He has been selected for ‘Overseas Ship Deployment’ in countries including Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles and Tanzania.
“The NCC Directorate of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh proudly announces the selection of Cadet Azhar Ul Hussain for an esteemed ‘Overseas Ship Deployment to Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles and and Tanzania,” said the NCC Directorate of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Azhar Ul Hussain, will provide his services as NCC cadet from 18th of February to April 8th of this year on his deployment for Overseas Ship Deploment.
“This a matter of pride that a NCC cadet from J&K has been selected for ‘Overseas Ship Deployment’,” the Defence Ministry Spokesman said.
This opportunity symbolizes the NCC’s commitment to provide avenues for growth to cadets from far-flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
“It reflects our dedication to fostering global exposure and cultural exchange,” the Defence Ministry spokesman said, while adding, “As Azhar embarks on this prestigious journey, we extend heartfelt wishes for a successful and enriching experience”.
The spokesman said that Hussain’s selection will inspire the youth of J&K to join security forces and serve the nation.
“This of Azhar Ul Hussain, will motivate other cadets of the valley to join NCC and the security forces,” the spokesman said.
