Budgam, Jan 19: To enhance accessibility for all individuals, the authorities in Budgam district have constructed ramps and provided wheelchairs at all major government offices located at the district headquarters.
This initiative aims to ensure that citizens with disabilities encounter no difficulties during their visits to these offices.
Furthermore, the district administration of Budgam plans to extend this accessibility initiative to other government offices at the sub-divisional and tehsil levels in a phased approach. Ramps will also be constructed at these locations to accommodate citizens with disabilities.
In a statement on the official X platform, Deputy Commissioner of Budgam, Akshay Labroo said that in an effort to bridge the gap of accessibility for our specially-abled citizens, attempt has been made in this year’s District Capex to connect all major govt offices at the district headquarters with ramps & wheelchairs. Aim is to cover all offices in a phased manner.
