Ganderbal, Feb 15: The Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district in collaboration with the local NGO Awaz Aur Ehsas Foundation, organized a successful blood donation camp on Thursday.
The event was inaugurated by the Sub District Magistrate (SDM) of Kangan, Nuzhat. K. Quraishi (JKAS), who commended the initiative taken by SDH Kangan and the collaborative efforts with Awaz Aur Ehsas Foundation. A total of around 50 units of blood were generously donated by locals, which will serve as a lifeline for those in need across Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Salma Bhat, the Medical Superintendent of SDH Kangan, expressed gratitude towards the public for their participation and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in providing life-saving support to accident victims and patients in need of blood transfusions.
“We are committed to providing comprehensive healthcare services to the public,” said Dr. Bhat, highlighting the hospital’s dedication to meeting the healthcare needs of the community.
The blood donation camp not only aimed to bridge the gap in blood supply but also underscored the spirit of solidarity and community welfare.
