The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired the weekly Block Diwas programme at Panchayat Ghar Shallabugh, where he interacted with the public to listen to their issues and demands.
The programme, which was also attended by Vice Chairperson DCC Ganderbal, Bilal Ahmad, SSP Ganderbal, Sandeep Gupta, Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani and other senior officers, aimed to provide a platform to the people to voice their concerns and aspirations directly to the authorities and seek redressal of their grievances.
The major issues projected during the event include development of roads, street lights, dredging of irrigation canals, ATM facility, installation of transformer at PHC Kachan, development of playground at Girls High School Shallabugh and other issues of public importance.
After giving patient hearing to locals, the DC assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up with the relevant quarters for prompt redressal.
