Jammu, Feb 20: The Central government has deputed senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur to Jammu to engage with people and discuss the key highlights of the Union Budget. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the budget’s “pro-people policies and benefits”.
Sources told Rising Kashmir that Thakur will visit Jammu on February 24 to interact with individuals from various sectors.
The programme, titled ‘Budget Pe Charcha’, is scheduled to take place at Jammu Club on February 24. It will bring together intellectuals, business leaders from the Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI), representatives from the transport sector, opinion makers and members of NGOs and social organisations.
The Jammu and Kashmir BJP has already been organising district-level awareness programmes under the leadership of its President Sat Sharma and General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul. These efforts are part of a broader campaign to inform the public about the budget’s positive impact on economic growth and welfare.
The BJP’s Central leadership has also directed the J&K unit to ensure that Thakur’s programme becomes a grand and successful event and draws huge participation from the public. The party sees this as an opportunity to reinforce its message and highlight the government’s commitment to people-centric economic policies.
