Jammu, Feb 21: Alleging abuse and plunder of govt resources in J&K by BJP in league with LG administration, , former minister and NPP leader Harsh Dev Singh Tuesday called upon the CBI to break the unholy nexus in the UT to save it from economic and political disaster.
He said that it was shocking that Lt. Governor and his administration had surrendered before the Saffron party and were openly allowing the abuse of govt assets and properties by BJP leaders in violation of constitutional propriety and rule of law.
Singh said that the LG administration had coined two different sets of laws–one for BJP and the other for opposition parties. “And the BJP leaders had been granted immunity from all their acts of omissions and commissions, misfeasance and malfeasance, loot and plunder by the Lt. Governor working under the tutelage of BJP,” he said, adding, “while on the contrary, the opposition leaders were being harassed, intimidated, bullied and persecuted without any justifiable reasons only to de-motivate and pressurize them”.
Pointing towards sealing of Panthers Party Office in Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Singh described it as an absurd and motivated act of histrionics which was executed only to demoralize the NPP cadres.
Singh said that BJP had become skeptical about its future and feared a tsunami of Panthers Party in Jammu after his decision to rejoin and strengthen JKNPP as announced recently.
The BJP had got so scared of NPP that it pressurized and prevailed upon the LG administration to seal the office of Panthers Party which had become a potential threat for it in J&K, said Singh.
The NPP leader said that while dozens of BJP workers who did not hold any office under the government were allowed to occupy estates and other Ministerial bungalows for the last around 5 years without entitlement, the lone JKNPP Office was sealed immediately after he joined NPP and announced to intensify its activity.
“Not only the BJP but several other allies of BJP including Apni Party and Peoples Conference were provided govt accommodation and Estates bungalows at both Jammu and Kashmir despite the fact that they were not yet recognized by the Election Commission as State level Parties”.
He alleged that the BJP leaders were allowed to illegally occupy the State lands worth crores by the present regime whereas the poor are being evicted and rendered homeless, rued Harsh.
