Baramulla, Jun 09:The Baramulla Police successfully rescued approximately 250 tourists who were stranded at Gondola Phase II Affarwat in Gulmarg in a commendable display of swift action and coordination.
The tourists had encountered technical difficulties on their way back to the Gondola base.
According to a police official, after receiving the distress call, the police rescue teams from the Gulmarg Police Station, led by Inspector Irshad Ahmad, wasted no time and immediately began rescue operations.
“Collaborating with the dedicated personnel from the Gondola Car Corporation, our police team worked tirelessly throughout the night to ensure the safe retrieval of the stranded tourists,” he explained.
He stated that 250 tourists from various states were safely rescued during the overnight operation.
According to a Gondola Car Corporation official, the gondola service had developed a technical snag, leaving tourists stranded at Gondola Phase II Affarwat in Gulmarg.
The rescued tourists expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Baramulla Police for their prompt assistance.
