Srinagar, Apr 27: In the aftermath of the recent ghastly terror attack in Pahalgam, renowned actor Atul Kulkarni visited Kashmir and appealed to the people of the nation to travel to the valley and show their support.
The ‘Bandish Bandits’ actor took to his Instagram account on Sunday, sharing a series of photographs capturing his journey from Mumbai to Srinagar. He posted images of his boarding pass, empty flight seats, and a heartfelt note given to him by the flight crew. Along with the pictures, he wrote, “Mumbai to Srinagar. The crew says they were running full. We need to fill them up again. Chaliye ji, Kashmir chalein.”
Kulkarni also shared a photograph from Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination, revealing an unusually empty scene. Known for its vibrant tourist activity, Pahalgam now appeared deserted, reflecting the impact of recent events.
Highlighting the undiminished beauty of the Valley, Kulkarni posted glimpses of Kashmir’s serene landscapes — clear blue skies, flowing streams, and peaceful surroundings. He also shared pictures of local Kashmiris holding placards condemning the attack and waving the Indian flag with pride, emphasizing the spirit of resilience among the people.
In another Instagram post, Kulkarni shared a Hindi poem accompanied by hashtags such as #ChaloKashmir, #Feet_in_Kashmir, #Kashmiriyat, #Love_Compassion, and #DefeatTerror, urging citizens to reject fear and stand in solidarity with Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty also voiced his support for Kashmir. In a powerful message, Shetty said, “I said it on Day 1, and I will say it again… Kashmir is not the violence of a few – it is the resilience of many. Let’s stand strong, travel proud, and show the world – that terror will never steal our paradise.”
The efforts by celebrities like Atul Kulkarni and Sunil Shetty have been widely appreciated, with many hoping their appeal will encourage tourists to return and support the local community in rebuilding confidence and promoting peace in the valley.
