While using an ATM located within the complex, an unknown individual inside the booth deceptively swapped her ATM card and subsequently withdrew ₹40,000 from her account.

“Acting promptly, a case FIR No. 14/2025 U/S 318(4), 305 BNS was registered in Police Station Safakadal and investigation was taken up”, he said.

During the course of investigation, a team headed by Incharge Police Post Bagyas was constituted. After strenuous efforts and with the help of technical input and analysis of CCTV footage from the ATM, it led to the identification of the suspect as Burhan Rah son of Gh Mohidin Rah resident of Bonpora, Nowgam. The accused person has been subsequently arrested, and multiple ATM cards were recovered from his possession.
