Assembly elections: Panthers Party (Bhim) announces first list of candidates

Jammu, Aug 20: Vilakshan Singh, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (Bhim), on Tuesday announced the party’s first list of candidates who will contest the upcoming assembly elections.
This announcement highlights the party’s commitment to representing diverse constituencies and addressing key regional issues with dedicated leadership, the party said in a statement.
In the first list, the party has declared the names of 17 candidates from Kashmir Province.
The candidates who shall contest assembly elections on the mandate of JKNPP (Bhim) are Syed Mohammad Qurashi – Karnah, Munir Ahmed Khan – Kupwara, Peerzada Mudasir Rashid Shah – Lolab, Abdul Ahad Najar – Pattan, Gh. Nabi Khatana – Kangan (ST), Farooq Ahmed Dar – Ganderbal, Mehraju Din Daggu – Khanyar, Hakim Arif Ali – Zadibal, Ali Mohammed Dar – Beerwah, Abdul Rashid Para – Chrar-i-Sharief, Mohd Aqib – Pampore, Gh. Nabi Shiekh – Tral, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan – Zainapora, Hakikat Singh – Shopian, Mohd Amin Naik – Kulgam, Mohd Rafiq Wani – Anantnag West and Ab Hamidullah Najar – Anantnag Assembly Constituency.
Addressing the media persons, Vilakshan demanded that adequate security should be provided to the leaders of the party. He said the list of the leaders of JKNPP (Bhim) has already been submitted to the Director General of Police.
Singh alleged that the UT administration is subjecting JKNPP (Bhim) leaders to step-motherly treatment. “During the parliamentary elections also no security was provided to the leaders of JKNPP (Bhim) to deprive them of their right to effectively participate in the electoral process. The party is being discriminated against as the party has always stood up for the deprived class,” he alleged.
Vilakshan highlighted the party’s longstanding commitment to social justice and regional integrity. “The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (Bhim), under the legacy of Prof Bhim Singh, has always been dedicated to the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden. Prof Bhim Singh devoted his entire life to serving humanity, championing the preservation of our pristine Dogra identity against attempts by certain Kashmir-based parties and Congress to undermine it,” he said.
The NPP leader added, “Prof. Bhim Singh fought tirelessly for every citizen, regardless of caste, religion, or region, and never discriminated between Dogras and Kashmiris. As we move forward, JKNPP (Bhim) is committed to carrying forward his legacy, ensuring justice and equitable development for all. I appeal to voters to support our candidates, as we are the only party committed to delivering justice and development right to their doorsteps.”
