Appointment of chairman JKBOSE: 14 candidates shortlisted for interaction

Srinagar, Feb 28 : In a recent development, 14 candidates have been shortlisted for the appointment of Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and Director of the Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT). These eligible candidates are scheduled to participate in an interaction with the Search Committee on March 5, 2025, at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu.

In this context, the School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir has announced that a meeting of the Search Committee, chaired by the Financial Commissioner/Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department, took place on February 17, 2025. As a result, the following qualified candidates have been shortlisted for the aforementioned positions:

As per the official announcement, the candidates selected for the role of Chairman of JKBOSE and Director of the JK State Council of Educational Research and Training include: Prof. Munshi Tehmina Yousuf, Principal of Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar; Dr. Sunil Gupta, Principal of GDC Basoli; Raj Kumar, Joint Registrar at the University of Jammu; Dr. Satinder Kour, Dean of Academic Affairs at Cluster University of Jammu; Dr. Manisha Kohli, Principal of HED; Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, Dean and Head of School Education at Central University of Kashmir; Dr. Shenaz Iqbal Qureshi, Deputy Registrar at IUST; Dr. Twinkle Suri, Principal of GDC Samba; Jahangir Iqbal Tantray, Coordinator and Head of the Persian Department at Kashmir University; Abid Hussain, Additional Commissioner in the Divisional Commissioner’s office in Kashmir; Sindu Kapoor, Joint Director of JKSCERT; Dr. Jatinder Khajuria, Finance Officer at the University of Jammu; and Dr. Sudhir Singh, Joint Secretary of JKBOSE.

The notice further states that the shortlisted candidates are required to appear before the Search Committee for their interaction on March 5, 2025, at 12 noon in the Committee Meeting Room, located on the 3rd Floor of the Main Building at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu.

Previously, on December 30, 2024, the School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir issued an advertisement for the recruitment of the Chairman of JKBOSE and Director, J&K State Council of Educational Research and Trainings (JKSCERT).
