Jammu, Mar 06: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu and former minister, S Manjit Singh on Wednesday paid tributes to Kargil war hero, Hawaladar Kulbir Singh to remember his martyrdom at his native village Koulpur in Ramgarh tehsil of district Samba.
As per the press release, a function was organized at the native village of the Martyr Kulbir Singh who laid down his while fighting for the country in 1999 against the Pakistani intruders in the Kargil war.
On this occasion, a column of the Indian Army presented a guard of honour to the martyred soldier’s memorial and remembered him as their hero who protected the motherland from the enemies.
The occasion was graced with the presence of Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh, District President of Legal Cell, Samba, Adv Sahil Bharti, District President of Apni Party in Samba, Mangat Ram, and other prominent people.
While speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh lauded the role of the martyr and remembered the contribution that he made to the country with the supreme sacrifice. He said Kulbir Singh’s martyrdom will always be remembered, and the young generation should learn from the sacrifice of the martyred soldier.
“The countrymen have unshakable faith in defence forces because of which they feel safe in their homes whereas the soldiers defend the borders even in harsh conditions,” the Apni Party leader said.
