Srinagar, Mar 21: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and J&K spokesperson Altaf Thakur on Thursday highlighted the significant transformation in Jammu and Kashmir under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, Thakur welcomed the public statements made by the daughter of a separatist and the granddaughter of Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani, acknowledging their allegiance to India and disavowal of separatist politics.
“This is the evidence of a shift in the region after the abrogation of Article 370. This open confession directly from those who were known for separatist agenda and ideology is an eye opener for those who say what has changed in J&K post Article 370 rollback,” Thakur said, adding that this is a slap in the face for those still advocating Pakistan’s agenda.
The BJP spokesperson said this all was possible only because of PM Modi’s guarantee and his endeavours to turn J&K into an abode of peace once again. “People still trying to buy Pakistan’s agenda should know that there are no takers for their deceitful politics,” he said.
