Srinagar, Jun 26: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday said that during the all-party meeting convened by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, all participants agreed that the smooth and successful conduct of the Amarnath Yatra is a collective responsibility of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters here, as reported by the Kashmir News Service (KNS), Bukhari said LG Sinha called the meeting to discuss arrangements for the Yatra. During the session, leaders shared their views and assured full support and cooperation to ensure the Yatra proceeds smoothly.
“We also conveyed our full support for the safe and seamless conduct of the Amarnath Yatra. We also emphasised that local residents should not feel excluded or face any difficulties during the pilgrimage,” he said.
The Apni Party chief added that LG Sinha provided detailed briefings on the arrangements being made for the Yatra, and he prayed for its successful and secure completion.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir have always welcomed the Yatra, as it reflects the hospitality and rich cultural heritage of the region in hosting visitors and pilgrims,” he said.
