New Delhi, March 5: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is proud to announce the inaugural AICTE IDEA Lab Tech Fest 2025, set to take place on March 7, 2025, at its headquarters in New Delhi. This landmark event will bring together over 80 institutions showcasing innovative projects developed in IDEA Labs across the country, offering visitors an unprecedented glimpse into the future of technology and innovation.
With over 1800 attendees, including students, faculty members, industry experts, and technology enthusiasts, the AICTE IDEA Lab Tech Fest promises to be a grand celebration of creativity and technical excellence. The fest will feature live demonstrations of groundbreaking projects, interactive exhibits, and an engaging technical panel discussion featuring thought leaders in education, research, and industry.
The IDEA Lab Tech Fest aims to foster collaboration between academic institutions, industry leaders, and young innovators. The event will be inaugurated by AICTE Chairman, Prof. T.G. Sitharam, and will also feature the esteemed presence of AICTE Vice Chairman, Dr. Abhay Jere, and AICTE Member Secretary, Prof. Rajive Kumar.

Launched in 2021, the AICTE IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab initiative is designed to equip technical education institutions across India with state-of-the-art facilities for experimentation, innovation, and prototyping. By encouraging students to apply STEM fundamentals, the program fosters an environment of hands-on learning, creativity, and product development.
IDEA Labs play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic concepts and real-world applications, ensuring that engineering graduates develop essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, design thinking, collaboration, communication, and lifelong learning.
In 2025 alone, AICTE has sanctioned 318 new IDEA Labs, apart from 115 existing labs across India, further strengthening the nation’s commitment to technological advancement and entrepreneurship.
