AICTE launches 500 ‘ATAL Faculty Development Programs’ for 2024-25

FDPs to be offered in basic and advanced format

New Delhi, April 18: AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam launched the ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) for FY 2024-25, at AICTE HQ, New Delhi.
While launching the ATAL FDPs, Prof. Sitharam highlighted the importance of Faculty Development Program to impart quality training to Faculty Members, Postgraduate students, Research scholars and Industry Professionals so that they acquire a sound domain knowledge and associated skills set to apply in real life with industry connect.
He further said, through FDPs, the participants develop an understanding of their roles in community wellbeing, nation building and also their own career development.
Total 500 FDPs are proposed to be conducted this year in Basic and Advanced formats through offline mode.
The Basic FDP is a six-day programme covering 450 FDPs which include 250 for UG/PG/Research Institutions, 100 for Polytechnics, 100 for newly added BBA/BCA Institutions.
The Advanced FDPs is a twelve-day (two-week) program partnering with Industries comprising 50 FDPs targeting Research Scholars, Faculties and Industry Persons who have pre-exposure to the subject.
All AICTE approved institutions are eligible to apply for ATAL Faculty Development Programmes in core and emerging areas of Engineering and Technology, Management, Design, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Applied Arts & Crafts, Planning and Computer application. AICTE will provide grant in aid of Rs 3.50 lakhs per Basic FDPs and 6 lakhs per Advanced FDPs in two installments.
The AICTE approved Institutions interested to conduct FDPs, can submit their applications from April 25th, 2024 till May 24, 2024.
