Srinagar, Nov 23: In the wake of an audit report exposing service detail irregularities for 287 employees within the Finance Department, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has swiftly taken action. The discrepancies, specifically related to the listing of dispensaries, were identified on the Jammu & Kashmir Human Resource Management System (JK-HRMS) portal.
Responding to the audit findings, the General Administration Department issued an official communication urging the attention of top officials. The communication, referencing previous notifications on the matter, forwards the audit report and a list of employees with identified discrepancies in the JK-HRMS portal.
“The listed 287 employees have been directed to promptly instruct Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to update service details and upload accurate appointment and promotion orders within two weeks,” he said.
Launched in October of the previous year by Chief Secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, the JK-HRMS stands as a comprehensive platform offering a unified dashboard for employees.
This centralized system enables access to critical service-related information such as postings, promotions, monthly salary slips, income tax remittances, GPF statements, and SLI subscriptions.
The urgency of the matter is underscored in the official communiqué, with a call for a compliance report to be expeditiously furnished to the General Administration Department.
Among the affected employees are individuals holding various positions, including Under Secretary, Section Officer, Accountant, Senior Assistant, Junior Assistant, and more. Importantly, the service detail inaccuracies have compounded issues for over 990 government employees, whose salaries have been withheld since the initiation of the JKHRMS due to the unavailability of initial appointment orders.
These corrective measures are anticipated not only to rectify the identified discrepancies but also to ensure the accuracy of employee service details on the HRMS portal, providing a streamlined and reliable platform for comprehensive HR management in the region.
