Srinagar, Feb 04: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Sunday said the administration was prepared for this snowfall and stated they have cleared majority of roads and restored electricity in the region.
Talking to reporters in Srinagar, Divisional Commissioner Bidhuri said that administration was prepared for the inclement weather, ensured restoration of electricity and cleared roads amid snowfall in the region.
“We have reviewed the power situation. Our health facilities are good. Load clearance is being done well. As per the instructions of the LG, our officers are in the field. Arrangements are made for the public and they are satisfied. I am happy that the situation is normal,” he said.
Bidhuri said all arrangements were placed to handle the impact of this snowfall. “Our teams have been working round the clock to mitigate any potential challenges that may arise”.
He commended the dedicated teams involved in road clearance operations and power restoration, acknowledging their tireless efforts to minimise disruptions caused by the inclement weather.
He said the administration was closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with various departments to respond swiftly to any emergencies. “We have ensured road clearance operations after the snowfall and electricity has been restored in the majority of the areas,” he said.
“Our priority is the safety and well-being of the people. We have deployed teams to clear roads, restore power, and ensure that essential services continue uninterrupted,” Bidhuri added.
