Baramulla, Sep 13: In a bid to nurture creativity, imagination, and artistic expression among its young students, Aarifeen School of Excellence (ASE) Baramulla hosted an exhilarating inter-class art competition on Wednesday.
The event, specifically designed for Grade 1, 2, and 3 students, aimed to foster a love for art and the natural world.
This year’s competition centered around the captivating theme of nature, with each grade exploring unique facets.
Grade 1 students delved into the enchanting world of nature itself, Grade 2 pupils were tasked with capturing their favorite animals or beloved cartoon characters, while Grade 3 students dived into the mesmerizing realm of aquariums.
Coordinator ASE Asma Sadiq said that these themes were thoughtfully selected to encourage young participants to observe and appreciate the beauty of the natural world while expressing their distinctive perspectives through art.
Asma Sadiq, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, emphasizing that it provided a remarkable platform for learners to showcase their creativity and talent.
She also highlighted the school’s commitment to implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020, which advocates for experiential learning, competency-based education, and a holistic approach to teaching.
A distinguished panel of judges meticulously assessed all the artworks, evaluating creativity, skill, and how well each piece adhered to the chosen themes.
The competition’s success was not only attributed to the students’ talents but also to the support and encouragement provided by their parents, who were urged to supply the necessary materials for their child’s artistic endeavors.
The competition was held under the expert guidance of ASE’s Art and Crafts department, led by Ms. Shabnum Mir, Ms Iqtisam Rehman and Ms Nayeema Akhter whose dedication and leadership played a pivotal role in the event’s success.
The day was a celebration of art, nature, and the boundless potential of young artists, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
