Jammu, Apr 27: In a tragic incident, an officer of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) lost his life when his bike slipped late last night near Jewel Chowk area of Jammu. The Bullet of the CBI officer slipped while crossing a speed breaker, the Police said.
The accident took place at around 23:57 PM last night when the CBI officer, Dy.SP, Prashant Sharma (age 52 years), son of Dharam Pal Sharma, was returning home. The slain CBI officer was resident of Paloura-Jammu. He suffered severe head injury in the accident.
Immediately, after the accident, the CBI officer was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu (GMC&H). From GMC-Jammu, he was referred to DMC Ludhiana for advanced treatment. Sadly, the officer died on the way.
An FIR U/S 279/337/304-A has been registered into the incident and investigation started in the matter, SHO Nowabad, Deepak Pathania told Rising Kashmir.
