Snow clearance operation in full swing on Baltal-Domail road

Ganderbal, April 03: Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is undertaking a robust snow clearance operation on the Baltal Domail Road leading to the revered Amarnath Cave in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The initiative aims to ensure a smooth journey for pilgrims visiting the sacred site.
The administration initiated road construction from Baltal to Domail in 2022, prioritizing pilgrim convenience and safety. Initially entrusted to the Roads & Buildings (R&B) department, the road construction responsibilities were later handed over to BRO, emphasizing their expertise in managing such tasks effectively.
Recent efforts have focused on snow removal along the Baltal Domail track, with Beacon and laborers working tirelessly for the past week. Despite facing challenges posed by potential avalanches, BRO remains committed to completing the snow clearance operation promptly, contingent on favorable weather conditions.
Official directives have instructed BRO to clear snow along both the Baltal axes.
