Srinagar, Sep 17: Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Army on Saturday recovered arms and ammunition at Hathlanfa Uri area of Baramulla district, Officials said.
A police spokesman said joint parties of Police and Army recovered arms and ammunition at Hathlanga Uri in northern Kashmir.
He said following specific intelligence input by agencies regarding presence of cache of arms and ammuniton in area of Hathlanga Uri.
“A joint parties of Baramulla Police and Army 3 Rajput Saturday launched search operation in wee hours near Hathlanga area of Uri sector including Hathlanga nallah.
“During the search arms and ammunition: AK-47 Rifle- 01 No., AK Magazine- 01 No’s and AK 47 Ammunition – 28 rounds were recovered,” he said.
Meanwhile police has registered a case under Indian Arms Act in Police Station Uri and investigation set in motion.
