EPFO settles 24 pension claims in Nov

Jammu, Nov 30: Asserting that pension is the most relevant form of social security for employees and their family members in times of need and eventualities, EPFO Regional Office, Jammu has initiated the process of settlement of pension claims from the offices of Jammu and Kashmir. In some of the cases, pension is being disbursed to widow and family members of even such members in respect of whom pension contribution equivalent to one month pension has been remitted by the employer. 
The EPFO in an official statement said it has settled 24 pension claims in Jammu with initial arrear amount of Rs 15,53,822 in the month of November 2022. “Pension claims were settled in r/o Late Vaibhav Gupta–Reetika Mahajan (Widow), Advika Mahajan (Daughter), Avyukt Mahajan (son) with the monthly pension amount being Rs 2901, Rs 725 and Rs 725 respectively,” it said. “Pension claim has also been settled in respect of Sangeeta Gupta with monthly pension amount being Rs 3869, Netar Parkash with the monthly pension amount being Rs 4147, Bachan Lal with the monthly pension amount being Rs 4609, Kewal Krishan with the monthly pension amount being Rs 4231 (who visited EPFO, Jammu today to collect the PPO), Late Fatima Bano-Mohammad Hanifa (son) and Feroz Ahmad (son) with the monthly pension (orphan) amount being Rs 2071 and Rs 2071 respectively, Suraj Kumar-Poma Devi (widow) with monthly pension amount being Rs 2171.”
The office has also processed cases of retirement pension claim in respect of Shree Ram with monthly pension being Rs. 3160, Sanjeev Arora with monthly pension being Rs 3739, Yogi Raj Sharma with Rs 3742 and others.
Rizwan Uddin, Regional P F Commissioner (J&K and Ladakh), Sanjeev Kumar (Enforcement Officer), Pritpal Singh (Assistant Section Officer) distributed the PPO to the pensioners who visited the Regional Office, Jammu.
All pensioners, who visited EPFO, Jammu, expressed their pleasure and appreciated the efforts made to team EPFO, Jammu, in disbursing their monthly pension and arrears before close of the month.
