Krishi Vigyan Kendra Malangpora Pulwama kick starts two 07 days STRY Training Programmesw.e.f 28th of December, 2022 to 03rd January 2023 on “Production Technology of Vegetables under protected Structures for employment generation of rural youth” and “promotion of vermicompost/residues free Agriculture/Horticulture in Pulwama District.” 
The Programmesare being coordinated by Dr Rukhsar Ahmad Dar (Asst. Prof. Olericulture) and Dr Syed Shujat (Asstt. Prof. Soil Science). The programmes were met for employment generation of rural educated youth and are conducted in collaboration with SAMETI SKUAST-K and MANAGE Hyderabad.
Sukhdev Singh, IPS, SSP Security Kashmir was the chief guest on the occasion, wherein he stressed upon the youth of the district to positively participate in these training programmes. The programme was also attended by Dr Javed Ahmad Bhat, Prof and Head, Division of Soil Science, FOA, Wadoora and Prof Javed Ahmad Mugloo, Prof and Head KVK/ETC, Malangpora Pulwama and Dr Zahoor Ahmad Baba, Associate Professor, FOA, Wadoora and Scientists of Kendra. A total of 65 trainees have registered for the said trainings. 
Prof Javed Ahmad Mugloo, Prof and Head in his inaugural speech highlighted the importance of skill oriented trainings for rural youth to become job providers rather than job seekers. He impressed upon the participants to upscale their skill with latest technology and technical knowhow in order to pave way for employment generation not only for themselves but for others also.
 The course coordinators of the two programmes Dr Rukhsar Ahmad Dar and Dr Syed Shujat during their overview lectures gave comprehensive information of their respective programmes and informed participants throughout various lectures that shall be delivered by both KVK Scientists as well as experts from other Faculties of SKUAST-K. The inaugural ceremony concluded by vote of thanks given by Dr Rukhsar.
