Officers inspect tourist trade estab’s at Jmu Rly Station

Jammu, Nov 16: To check the registration, renewal of the hotels, travel agencies, owners of dry fruits shops in Railway Station, Jammu, a surprise checking was conducted by Abdul Jabbar, Prescribed Authority, Jammu along with officials and Tourist Police.
During the checking, the Prescribed Authority found that some Hotels/Travel Agencies/Dry Fruits shops operating in the Railway Station area have not registered/renewed their units and therefore violated J & K Tourist Trade Act 1978/82/2011. The violators were warned and conveyed through respective union Presidents to register/renew their establishments on the tourism website www.tourismjk.in.within within 15 days. 
Besides, In-charge, Tourist Police was also directed to prepare a list of unregistered/un-renewed Hotels/Travels Agencies/Dry Fruit Shops/Dhabas in Jammu District and submit the same to the Prescribed Authority, Jammu within five days positively so that action as warranted under Tourist Trade Act, 1978/82/2011 shall be initiated against the un-registered/un-renewed units.
