Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday approved the appointment of Dinkar Gupta (IPS) as the new Director General of National Investigation Agency.
According to an order, Gupta will hold the post till 31st March 2024.
Dinkar Gupta is a 1987-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Punjab cadre.
“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for appointment of Shri Dinkar Gupta, IPS (PB: 87) as Director General, National Investigation Agency in Level-17 of the Pay Matrix from the date of joining the post and up to 31.03.2024 i.e. date of his superannuation or till further orders whichever takes place earlier,” reads the order.
