In order to review the overall security scenario of the district and in view of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, SP Bandipora chaired a security review meeting at Conference Hall of District Police Lines Bandipora. Besides, the strategy for peaceful conduct of Republic Day-2023 celebrations were also discussed.
The meeting was chaired by SP Bandipora Shri Lakshay Sharma-IPS and was attended by senior officers of Bandipora Police, Army, CAPF and officers of various security agencies.
During the meeting, SP Bandipora solicited the inputs from participating officers related to security situation having ramifications upon the celebrations of upcoming Republic Day in the district. The participating officers were advised to activate the available resources for generating intelligence having any bearing on security situation in the district especially on account of Republic Day besides, emphasised on all participating officers to work in synergies so that optimum results could be achieved on counter terrorism front.
SP Bandipora directed the participating officers to remain extra-vigilant, strengthen nakas/checkpoints, and generate actionable intelligence so that the nefarious designs of anti-national elements can be thwarted. Security measures/preparations to be put in place in connection with forthcoming Republic Day-2023 celebrations were also discussed in detail.
