Srinagar, Jan 16: Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Super Speciality Hospital on Monday carried out a rare brain surgery in Srinagar.
A 50 year old female patient without any co morbidities presented with headache on/off mainly in right frontal region for past one year.
She was planning to go outside Kashmir for treatment, but after visiting Ujala Cygnus Kashmir, patient was diagnosed with tumor for which brain surgery was needed.
After proper evaluation patient underwent surgery which was done in collaboration by Dr. Umar Buch from department of Neurosurgery and Dr. Danish Andrabi from department of ENT.
Total tumor was endoscopically removed through nasal route and the patient was managed postoperatively in ICU and discharged, while she was able to walking after five days.
