SSRER-2023: Special camps held across Kulgam

Kulgam, Apr 09: Special camps were conducted on Sunday across the district Kulgam under special Summary revision of Photo Electoral Rolls (SSRER).
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat who is also the District Election Officer (DEO) of the district visited polling stations in Kulgam area and took stock of process of Registration of eligible voters during special camp organised in these polling stations.
During his visit, the DEO interacted with BLOs and newly added voters and instructed the BLOs to ensure 100% enrollment of new and eligible voters during this special summary Revision.
Accompanying the DEO were Dy-DEO Kulgam, Bilal Kamgar, Bilal Naseem (AERO) Kulgam and other officers.
It was also informed that as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the Special Summary Revision is being carried out throughout the district for addition of new voters, Deletion, Transposition and Correction of the Assembly electoral Rolls.
It was shared that form 6 is exclusively for registration of new electors, Form 6A for inclusion of name in electoral roll by an overseas elector, Form 6B for capturing Aadhaar no. Of existing electors, Form-7 for objection to proposed inclusion/deletion of name in existing electoral roll and Form 8 for correction in electoral roll, shifting of residence (within or outside constituency), replacement of EPIC and marking of a person with disability.
It was also informed that the filing of claims & objections is 05-04-2023 to 20-04-2023 whereas the date of disposal of claims and objections 28-05-2023 and final publication of electoral Roll has been fixed as 10-05-2023.
During these camps, EROs & AEROs also visited their respective constituencies and interacted with BLOs and people so that no eligible voter is left unregistered.
