Poonch, May 20: Javed Rana President of NC’s Pir Panjal Zone on Saturday appealed to the people to ensure the “departure of BJP” from the government, saying the party cannot make India Vishwa Guru by its “hate politics”.
The senior NC leader was addressing a “massive” public meeting at Khanetar in Haveli area of Poonch, a party statement issued here said.
“The political party which is striving only on divisive agenda can never make India Vishwa Guru in any of the positive traits rather it is only capable of damaging and maligning the image of the country at all levels by way of instigating people to follow communal lines and loathsome dwelling by creating a wedge between people belonging to different ethnicities,” he said.
The former MLA said that the BJP leadership is “primarily responsible for the devastation of many institutions” in the country as the party believes in “authoritarian governance” where the common man has no say or rights.
“BJP government has dented the Indian democracy badly and it will take years together to rebuild the image which India enjoyed as one of the largest democracies before the inception of Modi government,” Rana said, adding, “Only ouster of BJP from all forms of governments in the country can save India from probable collapse as the leadership of the saffron party is hell-bent to sell off the government assets and damage the institutions by uncontrolled interference just to satiate vested interests of remaining glued to power corridors, which is against the principles of the democracy.”
The senior NC leader said that a holistic approach is required to rejuvenate the tourism sector and healthcare in J&K. “The superfluous and pompous measures taken by the incumbent dispensation have proved redundant with no change seen on the ground as Poonch, Rajouri, Bhaderwah and other tourist destinations having huge potential are still lurching for tourist footfall despite tall claims of steps taken by those sitting at the helm,” he said.
Rana also highlighted the need to revamp the education sector in the Pir Panjal region, saying that under the BJP government; there are areas that are still reeling under the ‘Stone Age’ as far as imparting quality education is concerned.
