Srinagar, July 14: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Friday paid obeisance to the revered shrine of Hazrat Syed Mohammad Murad Bukhari in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Accompanied by senior party leaders, Bukhari on the occasion prayed for sustained peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. While talking to the people at the shrine, he requested that they pray for the peace of J&K and the well-being of the people.
He said, “The saints like Hazrat Syed Mohammad Murad Bukhari have preached the message of peace and brotherhood in the valley; thus, every one of us must follow this divine message and work together to ensure peace and harmony among people of different faiths and beliefs in the region.”
Appealing to people to pay for the peace and prosperity in J&K, the Apni Party chief said, “At these revered places, besides praying for ourselves, we all ought to pray for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir because only sustained peace can secure and protect the future of the people, especially the youth.”
Meanwhile, Syed Noor ud Din Andrabi, a prominent social and political leader from Baramulla in north Kashmir, officially joined the Apni Party today, in the presence of party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and other senior leaders
According to a party’s statement issued here, Bukhari paid a visit to Andrabi’s residence. During this visit, Andrabi took the opportunity to publicly announce his decision to join the Apni Party in the presence of the party president. Bukhari warmly welcomed Andrabi into the party, expressing assurance that he would receive full support from the party leadership as he serves the people.
Meanwhile, Altaf Bukhari led a delegation of party stalwarts to visit Chandoosa in Baramulla to convey condolences to the bereaved family of Ranbir Singh Bali, Director of Finance in the Forest, Ecology, and Environment Department, who along with his wife Parvinder Kour and their son Irvan Singh lost his life in a tragic accident on the Mughal Road recently.
The leaders met with the grieving relatives of the ill-fated family and expressed their heartfelt condolences to them. On the occasion, Bukhari said, “No words can ease the immense pain and grief experienced by the bereaved families in the wake of such a tragic event. May the Almighty grant the grieving relatives the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss, and may the departed souls find eternal peace.”
