Jammu, March 06: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar and Director General of Police (DGP) J&K Dilbag Singh have extended their warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Holi – the festival of colours.
In his message, Advisor Bhatnagar said this festival heralds the onset of the spring season and reflects the cultural mosaic of our country. “Holi is an occasion to rejoice in the glory of nature in all its vibrant colours and symbolizes our nation’s spirit of unity, harmony and cultural diversity,” he said. The Advisor also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the entire Jammu and Kashmir.
The DGP extended warm greetings to the people of J&K, the martyrs’ families, and all ranks of J&K Police & Security Forces besides their families on the auspicious occasion of Holi.
In his message, the DGP expressed hope that the festival of colours will usher the Union Territory towards peace, progress and prosperity, strengthening the brotherhood, and communal harmony which over the years has been the hallmark of Jammu & Kashmir.
“Such occasions give us good chance to spread the message of peace, joy and love across society and to celebrate unity in diversity,” the DGP said.
