Jammu, Mar 05: The Regional Office of the EPFO, Jammu, has set an example for its employee friendly approach by helping more than 2000 employees who had been facing several problems with respect to updation, correction and other issues related to documents.
Recognizing the employees’ friendly working of EPFO, Regional Office, Jammu, the Government of India (GoI) awarded ‘Bhavishya Nidhi Apke Nikat’ award in 2023 for its public outreach programme.
The employees of various private companies, firms, malls, industries and other business establishments had to run from pillar to post to get their hard earned money deposited in their EPF account.
The EPF Commissioner, J&K, Rizwan said many employees were facing problems in getting their hard earned money due to varied reasons like wrong entries in the documents, non-updation of various documents like Adahar, Pan Card etc, wrong/misspelled names besides other issues.
“The moment this issue came to our notice, we directed all the concerned employees at EPFO of Jammu to be proactive and help all such employees facing problems in getting their EPF”, the Commissioner, told Rising Kashmir, while adding, “the staff of EPFO at Jammu worked day and night to resolve the problems of the employees working in various private firms, companies, malls, industries and other private establishments”.
Ranjit Singh, resident of Samba, who visited the EPFO at Jammu many times for getting the money deposited in his account said, “I had lost all hope of getting my hard earned money from my EPF account but thanks to the staff at EPFO Jammu, especially, the Commissioner for helping me.”
Another person Yudhvir Singh said that he approached the Commissioner for getting his money deposited in his EPF account as there were some issues related to documents.
“The Commissioner intervened personally and directed the staff for clearing may case and I got the money within 4 days,” Yudhvir Singh said.
In 2022, the EPFO Regional Office, Jammu, was awarded with the ‘Best Performing Remote’ office in J&K by the Government of India for reaching out to the maximum number of employees in remote areas of J&K.
