Udhampur, Dec 8: A 3-days training programme on “Karmayogi Police – custodians of society” commenced in the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy on Thursday.
Mission Karmayogi is the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building which aims to create a competent civil service rooted in Indian ethos, with a shared understanding of India’s priorities, working in harmonisation for effective and efficient public service delivery. The idea behind the scheme is to bring about a change in the attitude and skill set of government employees.
This is the 11th such course held in the academy. The training programme was inaugurated and coordinated by Master trainer Suraj Singh, Dy.SP, Asstt. Director (Trg/R&D) SKPA. 30 officials of J&K Police are to be trained in the eleventh module as per the workbook provided by the Capacity Building Commission.
Speaking on the occasion, Singh said that the course will go a long way in shaping the career of the participants in the perspective of positive attitude and inculcating ‘Seva Bhav’ in dealing with the general public. He advised participants to carry forward the spirit of feeling young in the subsequent stages of their careers. “The more we become Karmayogi Policepersons, the more our Seva Shakti will manifest itself, and the more positive impact we can make on society,” he said.
