Srinagar, July 30: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Sunday carried out raids at several locations in Poonch district for the second consecutive day in connection with a narco case.
Multiple teams of SIA of Police carried out searches at two locations in premises of narco terror suspects and in coordination with the Central Reserve Police Force.
As per local police officer raids were conducted at multiple locations including at the house of a drug peddler RafiqLala who was arrested four months back.
Lala is resident of Danna Doyiyan area of Sathra who was arrested under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and a case was filed under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic (NDPS) Act.
The official said that during the course of raids, search parties have seized various incriminating material having direct bearing on the investigation of the case.
“Analysis of the seized material would be done and leads that would emerge, would become the basis of further investigation,” he added.
On Saturday, raids were conducted at four places in Mandi Tehsil in connection with a Narco Terror case that relates to a notorious drug peddler RafiqLala.
The SIA had taken his remand on July 1 for questioning over his alleged links across the border.
He is the primary accused in the case and recently in March this year we recovered 7kg heroin, nearly ₹2 crore and some arms and ammunition from his house that is located near Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch.
He said accused Lala was in touch with Punjab-based narcotics smugglers and it is also being investigated. It is being probed where he was getting these drugs smuggled in the J&K. All angles will be investigated, he said.
