Srinagar, June 6: The Director of SKIMS, Dr. Ashraf Ganai, on Friday announced the establishment of the J&K Research Consortium at the institute to promote collaborative research among SKIMS, Government Medical Colleges and AIIMS Jammu.

Speaking during a review meeting on health sector reforms chaired by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Dr. Ganai said the consortium aims to strengthen cooperation among leading medical institutions in the Union Territory and foster a culture of research and innovation.

He said the initiative is expected to enhance medical research, encourage academic collaboration and support evidence-based policymaking in the healthcare sector. The consortium will also provide a platform for joint research projects and knowledge-sharing among participating institutions, helping improve healthcare outcomes across Jammu and Kashmir.
