Anantnag, June 07: The district of Anantnag witnessed an exciting moment today as the Youth Services and Sports Anantnag proudly inaugurated the highly anticipated District-Level Chess, Carom, Badminton, and Table Tennis Tournament for Under 14 and Under 17 Boys and Girls. 
The prestigious event kicked off at the renowned Girls Model Higher Secondary School Rani Bagh and SRJ HSS Khanabal in Anantnag, with the primary objective of promoting sportsmanship, nurturing talent, and fostering healthy competition among the district’s youth.
The opening ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including government officials, passionate sports enthusiasts, and talented young athletes from various Zones/Schools across the district. This grand inauguration marks a significant milestone in the development of grassroots sports and provides an exceptional platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and abilities.
The District-Level Chess, Carom, Badminton, and Table Tennis Tournament will span four exciting days. It encompasses multiple categories, including Under 14 and Under 17 age groups for both boys and girls, ensuring equal opportunities for participation and recognition. The tournament will be conducted under the expert guidance of experienced referees and judges, guaranteeing fair play and adherence to the rules and regulations of each respective sport.
During the inauguration ceremonies, the principals of both venues took the opportunity to address the audience, expressing their gratitude to the participants and all those involved in organizing this spectacular sporting extravaganza. They emphasized the vital role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and overall personality development among the youth.
