Srinagar, June 20: The Indo Tibetian Border Police (ITBP) on Tuesday organised a blood donation in collaboration with Govt SMHS Hospital. The camp was organised at Dr V Chaterjee Hospital ITBP in Srinagar.
The camp was held under the supervision of Dr Sheikh Rameez Raja, Senior Medical Officer in collaboration with Dr Jospen Shamri and other paramedical staff of SMHS Hospital. Around 50 units of blood were donated by force personnel of SHQ (SNR) 21st Bn and 30th Bn and their family members.
Besides this, a lecture on mental health was also delivered by Dr Aijaz Ahmad Suhaff, Lecturer, Post Graduate Department of Psychiatry, Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences Kashmir to the troops and their families. The lecture was organised in view of increasing suicide cases in the force.
