Budgam, July 05: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said that they have arrested three drivers and seized three tippers loaded with illegally extracted clay from the Sheikhpora area in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official told the Rising Kashmir that the Police Post Humhama, during the Patrolling at Sheikhpora near Petrol Pump, intercepted three tippers bearing registration numbers JK09-5808, JK04A-8771, and JK03B-8052 transporting illegally extracted clay.
“The tippers were seized on spot and drivers arrested who were identified as: Mohd Akbar Bhat, Son of Gh Mohd Bhat, resident of Khanpora Budgam; Fayaz Ahmad Chopan, Son of Gh Mohd Chopan, Resident of Wadipora Budgam; and Zubair Ahmad Lone, Son of Mohammad Talib, resident of Dafpora Budgam, an official said.
A Case FIR number 182/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and an investigation has been taken up.
