Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of mineral, police have seized 4 vehicles and arrested 4 persons in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A Police spokesperson said, “On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, a Special Police team headed by SHO Police Station Lar under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS seized four vehicles (tippers) bearing registration numbers JK15-2447, JK04B-3493, JK01H-6773 and JK16A-6930 and arrested four persons identified as Javid Ahmad Rather resident of Khurhama, Farooq Ahmad Bhat resident of Safapora, Mohd Shafi Bhat resident of Yangoora and Gh Mohi-ud-din Parra resident of Sumbal for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from Nallah Sindh at Watalbagh Lar area of district Ganderbal.”
“Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.18/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Lar and further investigation has been taken up”, he said.
