Gunshots heard during search operation in Ganderbal woods

Srinagar, Mar 31: Security forces on Tuesday evening launched a major cordon and search operation in the Arhama woods area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district after gunshots were heard during the operation. Official sources said that

the operation was carried out in Arhama village following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area. Officials said that during the operation, brief exchange of fire was reported, prompting forces to tighten the

cordon around the area. The operation was intensified to track down any suspected movement. Meanwhile, additional reinforcements have been rushed to the spot, and the entire area remains under strict surveillance. Further details are awaited.
