Baramulla, Feb 23:A man was injured in a mysterious blast while digging in his kitchen garden in Warpora area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday morning.
A police official told Rising Kashmir that a mysterious blast rocked the Warpora area seven kilometers away from main town Sopore, leaving a person injured.
The injured person has been identified as Mohammad Jamal Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, a resident of Warpora in Sopore.
The police official said that the injured man was immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Block Medical Officer Sopore Dr. Zulfikar told Rising Kashmir that they received an injured man at around 11:10 am on Thursday.
“He had injuries on his head and eye due to a mysterious blast,” BMO Sopore said.
He said that the person was shifted to Srinagar hospital in an injured state for advanced medical treatment.
The police official said that the initial reports suggest that the person was digging in the kitchen garden when the blast happened.
He said that they are currently ascertaining the facts regarding the nature of the blast.
“A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is going on,” police said.
