Amritsar Group of Colleges announces special scholarship for J&K students

Jammu, June 09: Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC), Amritsar on Friday announced a special scholarship for J&K students.
Gaurav Tejpal, Dean Campus Relations while addressing a press conference at the Press Club, Jammu said, “The objective of this conference is to start with the Admission Session 2023-2024. The institute has always supported and favoured the students from J&K because of their extraordinary calibre to excel and succeed. The institute prides itself in sharing that till date 662+ students from J&K have taken admission in various courses of the college.”
Guiding about various scholarship schemes, he said that keeping in view today’s scenario, AGC had offered a special fee structure for students of J&K which has proved to be helpful for both parents and students. Continuing the legacy, the institute will keep on offering scholarships to the students who wish to seek admission in the session 2023-2024, he said.
Also, the students belonging to the SC/ST Category who wish to take admissions to Amritsar Group of Colleges can register themselves through the J & K Social Welfare Department. “The institute has already started accepting applications from them. The college also provides scholarships to meritorious students and accepts applications through AICTE-PMSSS, AICTE Pragati scholarship scheme, AICTE Saksham scholarship scheme and various other scholarship schemes,” he informed.
Sharing his views about the institute, Dr Tejpal said that AGC is accredited by NAAC Grade ‘A’ in the third cycle under the Autonomous category. He said that the Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) from the past 22 years stands tall as a provider of Quality Higher Education at the National and International Horizon.
Taking into account today’s market trends AGC has established a separate department for International Collaboration as well, he said, adding, “ The Department is catering to the needs of the students who are looking for International Internships and further studies abroad. The Department also addresses collaborative programs like (2+2 and 3+1) with Universities of International Repute. Under this collaboration, various services International Internships, Semester Exchange Programs in countries like Canada, Dubai, USA, and Germany have been successfully arranged.”
