Third consecutive burglary case solved in Pattan, Three arrested: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that it has solved third consecutive burglary case by arresting three accused in North Kashmir’s Pattan area of Baramulla district.

 

A Police spokesperson said that on 11 February, 2023 Police Post Mirgundreceived a complaint from one Ghulam Mohammad Sofi resident of Kripalpora Pattan stating therein that during intervening nights of 10th & 11th February-2023, some unknown burglars broke open the lock of his Kiryana Shop and stole Kiryana items including Cigarettes, Cooking Oil, Gas Stove, Gas Cylinder & other items alongwith some cash.”

 

Accordingly Police Station Pattan registered Case FIR number 41/2023* under relevant sections of law and investigation was started.

 

“During the course of investigation of the case with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects came to surface, one of them namely Mohammad Yousuf Naikoo S/O Mohammad Qasim Naikoo resident of Sumbal Bandipora was identified and was called for questioning”, he said.

 

 

The spokesperson said that after thorough interrogation he disclosed that he alongwith three accomplice namely Mohd Waseem Naikoo S/O Mohammad Qasim, Hafizullah Dar S/O Ali Mohd Dar residents of Nowgam Sumbal, District Bandiporaare involved in the theft, who were arrested immediately in the instant case. The person namely Nisar Ahmad Mir S/O Mohd Qasim R/O Kripalpora Pattan who is also involved is still at large and efforts are on to trace him.

  

“On their disclosurestolen Kiryana property were recovered* from their possession”, he added.
