Six persons held for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Baramulla

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said that it has arrested six persons and seized 6 tractors for involved in extraction and transportation of minerals in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district 

 

                                                                                                                                                                                            A Police spokesperson said that Police under the supervision of Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad-JKPS Offg. DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by PSI Showkat Ahmad, IC PP Delina seized 5 Tractors and 5 drivers namely Mashooq Ahmad Sofi S/O Ali Mohd Sofi, Bilal Ahmad Sofi S/O Gh Nabi Sofi, Umar Farooq Sofi S/O Farooq Ahmad Sofi, Jan Mohd Sofi S/O Ab Rashid Sofi & Aijaz Ahmad Sofi S/O Mohd Maqbool Sofi all residents of Juhama at Juhama Baramulla who were found involved in illegal excavation/ transportation of minerals.

                                                                                                                                                                            “Similarly, Police under the supervision of Mohd Nawaz-JKPS SDPO Pattan assisted by *SI Mohd Mustafa, IC PP Kungamdaraseized 1 Tractor and 1 driver namely Sajad Ahmad Bhat S/O Ali Mohd Bhat R/O Gund-Ibrahim Pattan at Khore Sherabad who were found involved in illegal excavation/ transportation of minerals”, he said.

                                                                                                                                                                                           Police said that Case FIRs under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Baramulla & Pattan and investigation set in motion.
