Admin establishes winter control room in Kulgam

In light of the approaching winter in Kashmir, the district administration Kulgam on Monday issued an order of establishment of winter control room. The winter control room will be dealing with any eventuality in harsh winter in Kulgam.

Instruction has been thereof given to the employees concerned with the District Disaster Management Plan (DDMP).

In view of approaching winter season all the District/Sectoral officers connected with execution of District Disaster Management Plan (DDMP) are hereby enjoined upon to maintain their headquarters, an official order said.

“No District Sectoral officer shall leave his/her headquarter without obtaining written permission from the Deputy Commissioner. Any dereliction in this regard shall invite disciplinary action against defaulting officer/official as per the rules,” says order.

All the line officers shall remain connected through phone/WhatsApp with District Administration and liaise with District control room to attend unforeseen challenges in observance of professionalism, courage and human face and also establish control rooms (24°7) in their offices.

Moreover, a District level control room with following composition is hereby established at District Headquarter Kulgam for general public to meet any eventuality during the winter session.

Headquarter Assistant to Deputy Commissioner (7006515481) shall monitor and supervise the working of Control room and shall seek feedback from the concerned officers on hourly basis during the harsh winters, the order added.
