Srinagar,Apr 21:- Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad has conveyed his wishes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Deputy Commissioner in his message extended his good wishes to the people on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The festival is marked as the occasion when month-long fasting (Roza) of Ramadan comes to an end. Eid-Ul-Fitr symbolizes the need to perform deeds of charity by giving Zakat to the poor and needy, giving back to the community by engaging in humanitarian acts. The festival is characterised by spreading the feelings of love, compassion and affection among fellow human beings.
The DC added while people are delighted to celebrate the completion of Ramadan, the spirit should continue throughout the year with core values of charity, cooperation and compassion that drives humanity on this planet.
He has expressed hope that as Ramadan draws to a close, let us hold on to the spirit of steadfastness throughout the year to achieve our common goals of self-actualisation, peace and prosperity.
