Ganderbal, Apr 08: Situated on the banks of Sindh Nallah, Prang Park in the Kangan tehsil of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, was a well known tourist spot in the area but now wears a deserted look.
Locals said that people used to visit this tourist spot and used to enjoy high speed waves of Nallah Sindh flowing close to the park but after 90s its condition deteriorated considerably.
There were beautiful huts in the park, a local resident said but now they are almost in ruins.
He said at a time when the government is promoting tourism they should have first renovated Prang park.
Locals claimed that park maintenance will attract more tourists and provide employment opportunities for people in the area.
