Jammu, Apr 24: Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak on Monday urged the farmers to come forward to avail of the incentives under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and sought the intervention of the farming community for the workable reforms for the upliftment of the economic status of the nation and UT in particular.
He launched and chaired the Kissan Samparak Abhiyan of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the village Bahroon of Batote block of District Ramban. The programme was attended by Chief Horticulture Officer Ramban, District Nodal Officer of HADP, Sectoral officers of Agriculture & Allied sectors, Sarpanch of the Panchayat and PRI members. The programme was attended by a large number of farmers of the Panchayat and surrounding areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Horticulture elaborated threadbare the details of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme providing incentives/assistance for the welfare of the farming community. He sensitised the gathering about the main components of the programme – DAKSH – a Learning Management System related to skill development, SATHI – a dashboard to apply online for various government schemes, etc.
During the programme, 15 videos related to HADP were also shown to the gathering to acquaint them with the benefits of the programme. He appreciated the efforts of the Mangla Rai committee for framing such a programme covering every aspect of the farmer-related issues in the scheme.
